We currently seek Intelligence Analysts and are interested in individuals with solid experience in the intelligence and security industry. The successful candidate will be expected to apply linguistic capabilities, research acumen, and analytical techniques to produce accurate and detailed reports on various political, security, socio-economic, terrorism and human rights issues.
As an Intelligence Analyst you will help us to identify, evaluate and monitor ongoing threats and risks that could affect business operations, and to provide our clients with the information they need to make critical decisions. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to lead and manage research work, adhere to strict deadlines, and produce clear and concise written reports.
English language and literacy skills must be of a high standard as the successful candidate will be responsible for compiling reports into disseminatable products and conveying to clients the relevance and importance of the content. A high proficiency in IT is a must, including in-depth experience of the Microsoft Office suite.
We currently have a number of positions where fluency in Arabic and English is essential; however, as we operate in many different parts of the world, we would also like to speak to candidates with other languages. Whilst training will be provided as part of the induction process, successful candidates will have knowledge of, and interest in, open-source intelligence techniques.
To be successful in the role you will need to be a critical thinker, have excellent research acumen, and have the ability to demonstrate analytical prowess in the production of bespoke research products. Knowledge and experience of producing analytical reports is essential and candidates will be expected to demonstrate and provide examples of this at interview.
Maintain a detailed understanding of collection techniques and tools available to the company, using these methods and platforms to complement your investigative skills to answer specific client requirements
Maintain a detailed understanding of the functionality of, and data available from, internal databases in order to produce detailed quantitative and qualitative reports
Maintain awareness of our regional reporting in order to be able to conduct research / analysis in support of teams as required
Pro-actively consider products which could be produced to enhance content for regional teams
Conduct routine liaison with teams to understand current events and collection / reporting challenges
Conduct routine liaison with our OSINT Manager and Geo-spatial Analyst in order to support mutual development of our capability
Be prepared to conduct flexible research / collection / production in support of business requirements - both in response to client requirements and to provide enhanced content to the regional teams
Be prepared to develop collection plans and design reporting outputs in response to specified requirements
Experience of conducting open-source research and analysis
Intricate knowledge of social media platforms and how they can be utilised for research purposes
Experience of conducting open-source sentiment analysis and using bulk data
Proficiency in Microsoft packages
Project management experience is highly desirable
Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities against multiple target deadlines
Relevant undergraduate degree in a relevant subject (security, international relations etc.) and / or demonstrable experience within industry
