We currently seek an Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) Specialist to support collection and reporting activity within new and established teams within the business. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-years demonstrable experience in using a range of OSINT tools, techniques and exploits to conduct secure intelligence collection, and will be able to provide evidence of specialist OSINT investigatory work they have conducted on a variety of topics.
The successful applicant will report to our OSINT Manager and work collaboratively to maintain and develop capability in line with business objectives.
Responsible for the establishment, maintenance, documentation and audit of social media and messaging app collection capability for teams within the business. Will be required to have wide ranging knowledge of, and experience using, major social media platforms that are in use worldwide. Will have experience of social media dashboards, aggregators and RSS feed integrators.
Will have demonstrable experience of providing OSINT training and mentoring to groups and individuals. Will be comfortable providing additional OSINT capacity and capability to enhance collection within teams as required.
Responsible for the development and maintenance of novel OSINT techniques to support collection activities within the business. Will proactively identify OSINT techniques to meet intelligence requirements, and methodically test and evaluate OSINT tools / platforms for use within the business. Maintain links with peers, industry groups and forums to horizon scan and support capability development.
Responsible for the integration and management of collection tools / platforms / services for use within the business.
Support the development of company policies and procedures with regards to social media collection and conduct online.
Maintain a detailed understanding of collection techniques and tools available to the company, using these methods and platforms to complement your investigative skills to answer specific client requirements
Maintain a detailed understanding ofthe functionality of, and data available from, internal databases in order to produce detailed quantitative and qualitative reports
Maintain awareness of our regional reporting in order to be able to conduct research / analysis in support of teams as required
Pro-actively consider products which could be produced to enhance content for regional teams
Conduct routine liaison with teams to understand current events and collection / reporting challenges
Conduct routine liaison with our OSINT Manager and Geo-spatial Analyst in order to support mutual development of our capability
Be prepared to conduct flexible research / collection / production in support of business requirements - both in response to client requirements and to provide enhanced content to the regional teams
Be prepared to develop collection plans and design reporting outputs in response to specified requirements
Experience of conducting open-source research and analysis
Intricate knowledge of social media platforms and how they can be utilised for research purposes
Experience of conducting open-source sentiment analysis and using bulk data
Proficiency in Microsoft packages
Project management experience is highly desirable
