We currently seek an Intelligence Researcher to join our Nigeria team. The successful candidates will be expected to apply linguistic capabilities, research acumen, and analytical techniques to produce accurate and detailed reports on various political, security, socio-economic,terrorism and human rights issues.
Fluency in English is a must for this role. Arabic and/or French language skills are highly desirable.Whilst training will be provided as part of the induction process, thesuccessful candidate will likely have knowledge of, and interest in, open-sourceintelligence techniques.
Previous experience of reporting on intelligence and security matters within Nigeria, and a solid understanding of the regional dynamics will be of considerable benefit.
Working in a team environment and reporting into a Regional Collection Manager and Intelligence Manager, daily you will beresponsible for writing reports aligned to our information requirements. Yourmain responsibility will be to contribute to a weekly report; however, you maybe called upon to provide insight into critical events or lend your support tobespoke research and analysis projects led by our Senior Analysts.
It is important to have a critical eye and aninquisitive and investigative nature, being able to identify what is importantand what is not, and having the skills to extract that information and deliverclear and succinct reports to our clients.
Responsible for conducting open source research and collection of intended subject matter according to business needs.
Responsible for source validation, providing primary sourcing or as close as possible at all times.
Responsible for consolidating foreign language information into English and writing clear and concise reports tosupport company products.
Responsible for managing your time effectively and meeting strict deadlines.
Meticulously input and store data within company databases.
Maintain in-depth knowledge and expertise in the country/countries covered by your team.
Provide research support to our Geospatial Analyst in producing mapping and imagery for company products.
Fluency in English.
Arabic and/or French language skills are highly desirable.
The ability to write clear and concise reports in English.
Proficiency in Microsoft packages.
Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Relevant undergraduate degree in a relevant subject (security, international relations etc.) and / or demonstrable experience within industry.
